Entain, the owner of renowned gambling companies like Ladbrokes and Coral, has made public its intentions to buy STS Holding, a top sports betting firm with headquarters in Poland.
The offer has been approved by STS‘s two major owners, Mateusz Juroszek and Zbigniew Juroszek, who jointly hold a sizeable 70% stake in the business.
The Juroszek family will, as part of the agreement, reinvest a portion of the sale earnings into Entain CEE, the division in charge of activities in central and eastern Europe. With this investment, they will receive a 10% ownership stake in the business, demonstrating their ongoing dedication to the sector and guaranteeing their involvement going forward.
Founded in 1997, STS is authorized to conduct business not only in Poland but also in the UK and Estonia. STS presently dominates the Polish market and is the biggest network of its kind in the nation.
Entain acknowledges the potential for expansion and thinks STS is well-positioned to benefit from new opportunities in the event that Poland fully liberalizes online casinos.
