iGaming AFRIKA Unveils Plan to Honor Africa’s Most Influential Igaming Professionals

In a bid to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of igaming professionals in Africa, iGaming AFRIKA has announced its plan to release a list of the most influential professionals in the industry every December.

This yearly event, dubbed iGaming SiMBA, aims to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of individuals who have made significant impacts in the African igaming community.

The selection process is designed to be transparent, open, and inclusive. It consists of three steps:

Nominations Window:

The igaming AFRIKA Community members and all professionals in the industry will be invited to submit nominations for their peers who they believe have made a significant impact in the industry.

Selections by Judges:

A list of 10 judges will review the nominations and award points (out of 10) to each of the nominated individuals based on specific criteria. The judges will look at factors such as:

• Successful projects overseen in the igaming industry in Africa
• Influence in the igaming society in Africa
• Unique contributions to help or grow the industry or a group of individuals in the society
• Pushing an agenda aimed at social good for the igaming community or industry in Africa

Ranking and Awarding:

iGaming AFRIKA will then rank the selected individuals based on their scores, and announce the winners in order of merit. The winners will be listed under the Hall of Fame on the iGaming SiMBA platform, which is currently under development.

The mission and vision of iGaming SiMBA are to promote inclusivity, diversity, and excellence in the African igaming industry. The platform aims to create a community where individuals who participate and contribute to the growth and development of the industry in Africa are recognised and appreciated.

The recognition process is designed to be free and fair, and community members are encouraged to nominate their preferred candidates or even nominate themselves. Winners will receive a recognition certificate, and their achievements will be showcased on the iGaming SiMBA platform.
