Eswatini Gaming Board Blocks An Illegal Betting Website
The Eswatini Gaming Control Board blocks an illegal betting website, claiming that the company violated the law by launching a betting website in the country.

The public is being forewarned by the Gaming Control Board that using 8Bet to engage in betting operations would be against the law in Eswatini.
Engaging with 8Bet would be against Section 3 (1) (a) of the Gaming Control Act of 2002, which stipulates that people should only wager or play games with approved betting sites after obtaining the required authorization.

A person shall not engage in any gaming or any event or contingency other than with a holder of a licence who is permitted under licence to engage in gaming on the event or contingency concerned

In the exercise of its regulatory responsibility, the Gaming Control Board has cautioned the public not to engage in any kind of gaming with 8Bet. The board is dedicated to investigating the circumstances behind this breach and is acting quickly to address the situation.
