African Nations Gear Up for Competition at the FIA Motorsport Games

Morocco is set to aim for gold in both Esports categories at this year’s FIA Motorsport Games. This marks the African nation’s second participation in the event, having made its debut in 2022. Ahmed Erquizi will represent Morocco in Esports GT, competing with the highly regarded simulation, Assetto Corsa Competizione. Ismail Oublal will take part in the newly introduced Esports F4 category, which will utilize the iRacing platform. In addition to these events, Morocco will also have a presence in the Karting Mini grid with the young talent El Gahoudy Nahyl.

In the lineup for Morocco, Ahmed Erquizi competes in Esports GT, Ismail Oublal takes on Esports F4, and El Gahoudy Nahyl will showcase his skills in Karting Mini.

Meanwhile, Mozambique will participate for the second time in the FIA Motorsport Games, confirming a diverse entry across five disciplines. Competing in Karting Sprint Senior and Karting Mini, Mozambique will also be represented by Alisha Dos Santos Costa in Cross Car Mini. Additionally, Zanil Satar will strive for success in the Drifting category.

Mozambique’s competitors include Ghazi Motlekar in Karting Sprint Senior, Zanil Satar in Drifting, Eduardo Campos in Karting Mini, and Alisha Dos Santos Costa in Cross Car Mini.

Namibia is making its FIA Motorsport Games debut this year, joining neighboring countries Botswana and Angola as newcomers at this multidisciplinary event. The nation will have a solo entry in Esports F4, represented by Adriaan Nel, who brings experience from both real-world and virtual competition.

Adriaan Nel will compete for Namibia in the Esports F4 category.

After making its inaugural appearance in 2022, Nigeria will return for another chance at the FIA Motorsport Games. Baruch Roy-Bako will lead Nigeria’s efforts in Karting Sprint Senior, drawing on his experience from both domestic and international racing. Oluwfemi Olaoye will represent Nigeria in Esports GT, while young talent Kamtoya Chukwureh will compete in Esports F4.
