ARGN Announces Media Partnership with iGaming AFRIKA to Amplify Responsible Gaming Across Africa

The African Responsible Gaming Network (ARGN) is pleased to announce its media partnership with iGaming AFRIKA, a platform that has played a valuable role in highlighting and supporting responsible gaming developments across the African continent.

This partnership is particularly meaningful to ARGN because the growth of responsible gaming in Africa did not begin with the establishment of ARGN. Across the continent, organisations, regulators, researchers, advocates, treatment professionals, industry stakeholders and other initiatives have been contributing to the responsible gaming conversation for years.

iGaming AFRIKA has been part of that journey.

Through its coverage of the African gaming industry, iGaming AFRIKA has provided visibility to responsible gaming initiatives, industry developments and conversations around player protection. Its platform has helped bring attention to important, responsible gaming work taking place across different African markets and has contributed to the broader growth of the responsible gaming conversation on the continent.

ARGN recognises and appreciates this contribution.

As the African Responsible Gaming Network continues to develop as a pan-African platform, the partnership with iGaming AFRIKA creates an opportunity to build on the work that has already been done and give even greater visibility to responsible gaming initiatives across Africa.

Through this partnership, iGaming AFRIKA will support the amplification of ARGN initiatives, responsible gaming news, research, events, educational content, and developments across the continent.

More importantly, the partnership will also help shine a light on responsible gaming initiatives and organisations working across Africa, including those that have been doing this work long before the establishment of ARGN.

“We are genuinely pleased to partner with iGaming AFRIKA. They have been supportive of the growth of ARGN, but beyond that, they have supported the broader responsible gaming ecosystem in Africa for years,” said Ladipo Abiose, a member of ARGN.

“Responsible gaming in Africa is bigger than any single organisation. Many individuals and organisations have contributed to where we are today, and iGaming AFRIKA has helped provide a platform for those conversations. We are grateful for their support and look forward to working together to amplify responsible gaming initiatives across the continent.”

The partnership comes at a time when responsible gaming and player protection are becoming increasingly important as Africa’s gambling and digital gaming sectors continue to evolve.

ARGN believes that stronger collaboration, knowledge sharing, and visibility are essential to developing responsible gaming approaches that reflect Africa’s diverse markets, cultures, regulatory environments, and communities.

The network will continue working with stakeholders across the continent to support conversations around prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery, youth protection, player protection, responsible advertising, research, regulation and industry accountability.

The partnership with iGaming AFRIKA is therefore not only about promoting ARGN. It is about amplifying the wider responsible gaming movement in Africa and recognising the organisations and individuals who have contributed to its development.

ARGN looks forward to building on this relationship with iGaming AFRIKA and using the partnership to ensure that responsible gaming initiatives across Africa receive greater visibility and recognition.
