Gambling Commission Suspends Spribe OÜ’s Operating Licence

The Gambling Commission has suspended the operating licence of Spribe OÜ (operating licence no. 057302-R-333085-003) while conducting a review under section 118(2) of the Gambling Act 2005.
The decision to suspend the software operating licence follows findings of serious non-compliance related to the hosting requirements outlined in the Commission’s licensing framework. The regulator stated that the action was taken on grounds of suitability.
Spribe OÜ has been formally directed to cease all hosting activities immediately, pending the acquisition of a suitable hosting licence.

The Commission reminded operators that, under section 33 of the Gambling Act 2005, it is a criminal offence to offer gambling facilities in Great Britain without an appropriate licence, unless an exemption applies.
Emphasising its robust approach to enforcing licensing requirements, the Gambling Commission reaffirmed its expectation that all licensees maintain the highest levels of integrity and compliance.
The regulator further expects Spribe OÜ to inform all affected parties of any service disruptions and to suspend all operations in accordance with its licensing conditions until further notice.
The suspension takes immediate effect.
