LONASE Hosts PMU Mali to Standardize Lottery Operations in West Africa Region

Senegal’s national lottery operator, LONASE, hosted the hosted the Pari Mutuel Urbain Mali (PMU-Mali) for a work-level visit in Senegal aimed at strengthening collaboration and setting a new industry standard across the West African region. 

This visit served as an exchange focused on the modernization of lottery and betting processes. By touring operational facilities and observing gaming processes firsthand, the PMU Mali delegation and LONASE leadership emphasized technology adoption and digitalization. These efforts are designed to help teams keep pace with rapidly changing player habits and technological advancements, ensuring that services remain reliable for the public. 

Beyond technical logistics, the partnership is deeply rooted in establishing responsible gaming practices. LONASE and PMU Mali have reaffirmed their shared commitment to a high-performing governance model. This focus on ethics is a recurring priority for the region, for instance, LONASE’s December 2025 trip to Lottotech in Mauritius specifically explored partnership models to enhance player safety, initiatives that are already being implemented.
