Main FM and ITHUBA Tanzania Mark First Month of MainPesa LOTTO Partnership
Mainstream Group Limited, through its radio station Main FM, and ITHUBA Tanzania Limited marks one month since the launch of MainPesa LOTTO, a partnership aimed at delivering lottery services to Tanzanian communities under the National Lottery framework.
Launched on 23 September 2026, Main Pesa LOTTO combines Main FM’s radio reach with ITHUBA Tanzania’s lottery operations. The partnership brings together broadcast media and mobile-based access to lottery services, with Main FM providing a platform for communicating information about the game, draw results, and winners.
According to Mainstream Group, the collaboration uses the station’s relationship with its listeners to explain how the lottery works and share verified results. The approach also forms part of the group’s broader “Radio Moja” strategy, which seeks to connect traditional media audiences with digital services.
Commenting on the partnership, Deogratius Lazari Mosha, Director of Business at Mainstream Group, highlighted the role of radio in communicating with audiences and supporting the lottery’s rollout.
“Main FM has a direct daily relationship with audiences across Tanzania. This partnership allows us to use that relationship to explain the game clearly, build excitement around verified results and winners, and support sustained ticket sales. We are proud to partner with ITHUBA under the National Lottery framework.”
Beyond the lottery, Mainstream Group says its experience during the initial phase has prompted it to explore opportunities in other areas of digital entertainment and financial services.
In a further statement, Mosha said the partnership had encouraged the company to consider expanding its portfolio beyond lottery services.
“A month ago, we established a strategic partnership to deliver the National Lottery to Tanzanian communities using the MainPesa Lotto brand, which in less than a month has built its reputation on a distinctive brand promise: fostering community development through transparent and trustworthy lottery experiences.

Since launching, we’ve discovered remarkable potential within the broader financial services sector. This insight has inspired us to expand our vision strategically, exploring complementary opportunities such as sports betting and casino gaming to diversify our portfolio.”
The proposed expansion into sports betting and casino gaming would mark a move beyond the partnership’s initial lottery offering. However, the company has not outlined operational details for these additional services in the statements provided by its Director of Business, Deogratius Lazari Mosha.
Mainstream Group is also seeking technology providers and investment partners to support its expansion plans. According to Mosha, the company aims to establish these partnerships within a 90-day timeframe.
“To realize this ambitious growth within a 90-day timeframe, we require partnerships with cutting-edge technology providers and seasoned investment firms who can accelerate our market entry and operational excellence.”
The next phase will depend on the partnerships Mainstream Group secures and how it develops its proposed services. For now, MainPesa LOTTO represents the initial collaboration between Main FM and ITHUBA Tanzania, combining radio communication with lottery services under the National Lottery framework.
