Morocco and Huawei Drive Growth in Gaming Startups
Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, in collaboration with Huawei Morocco, has inaugurated the country’s inaugural Gaming Startups Meeting Day in Salé. This initiative is designed to enhance Morocco’s gaming sector and promote technological advancement.
During the event, Culture Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid expressed Morocco’s aspirations to become a significant player in the technology landscape. “The gaming industry presents a promising opportunity for young Moroccans,” Bensaid noted, highlighting the potential for growth in underexploited areas.
Morocco and Huawei Collaborate to Support Gaming Start-Ups
At the meeting, the Ministry formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Morocco, committing to support local gaming start-ups.

The MoU aims to foster skill development in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data. Nabil Ouchagour, Huawei’s Chief Brand Officer, reiterated Huawei’s dedication to advancing Morocco’s national gaming strategy by enhancing infrastructure for local start-ups in this field.
