Day Two of the eagerly awaited Sports Betting West Africa+ Summit 2023 started off with a jolt of excitement. Oyeneye Seun, Chief Operating Officer of Starbet, opened the day with enthralling remarks that laid the groundwork for a day of unmatched insight into the West African iGaming sector.

The day’s discussions got underway with a captivating presentation on wise investing in the sports betting industry from Mindspring Capital investor Daniel Bernard.Bernard emphasized the industry’s explosive growth, which is being fueled by the popularity of mobile betting, market expansion, and data accessibility.

Adetoun Adeyemi, Head of Legal at Lagos State Lotteries & Gaming Authority, gave a presentation later in the morning. Adeyemi, who represented a significant gaming authority in Lagos and provided guests with a view into the future of the developing West African iGaming business, shared ideas for encouraging investment and promoting responsible gaming in the dynamic West African gaming industry.

A stimulating panel discussion about finding high-growth markets for African sports betting and ways to get access to them intensified the day’s events. The panelists—Solomon Godwin, Senior Business Development Manager, Olaitan Olanrewaju Samuel, Gaming Consult/Business Developer, DK Michael Aghaji, Head of Sales at E2 Communications, and Oyeneye Seun, Chief Operating Officer of Starbet—dived into critical insights to navigate the changing landscape as Johnson Adewale FOYE served as the discussion’s moderator.

Adewunmi Adeniji, Sales Manager at Globacom Limited (Glo), masterfully chaired a panel discussion that added to the day’s insightful journey.
