The Hollywood Foundation Launches Bambelela Business Awards in Western Cape 2024
The Hollywood Foundation announced the debut of the Bambelela Business Awards in the Western Cape region. The prestigious awards serve as a tribute to the remarkable contributions of local entrepreneurs, recognizing their profound impact on communities and their pivotal role in fostering employment opportunities.
Themed “Bambelela (Hold On) – Your Dreams Are Valid,” the Bambelela Business Awards aim is to spotlight the extraordinary achievements of entrepreneurial talent across Western Cape. The awards will launch with an Exhibition and Seminar, providing a platform for selected small businesses to showcase their outstanding work. A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate entries, identifying businesses that exhibit exceptional merit and influence. Winners will not only receive prestigious accolades but also a portion of R750,000 in funding generously provided by the Hollywood Foundation.

Application Details for the Bambelela Business Awards!
Entries for the Bambelela Business Awards were officially opened on April 15, 2024. Eligible companies are strongly encouraged to submit their entries online by visiting the Hollywood Foundation’s website at https://hollywoodfoundation.co.za before the submission deadline on May 15, 2024, at 23:59.
For a business to qualify for these awards it must be: at least 51% black-owned business, Local business – registered and operating in Western Cape, Formal and/or informal registered local business, in operation for at least 12 months with a proven trading track record and finally the business must have a in operation for at least 12 months with a proven trading track record.
