Rise Mzansi, a political movement committed to reform and accountability, has been actively involved in tackling this issue. Member of Parliament Makashule Gana emphasized their dedication: “As Rise Mzansi we have taken the fight against illegal gambling and gambling reforms to the country’s law enforcement agencies.

“We can today reveal work is being done at the level of DPCI, the Hawks, to end the scourge of illegal gambling in South Africa. We will not rest until there are gambling reforms in South Africa.”

The movement’s focus on strengthening law enforcement actions reflects their broader goal of implementing comprehensive gambling reforms in the country.
