Premier Bet Malawi Boosts 2025 Africa Netball Cup with MWK10 Million Sponsorship

Premier Bet Malawi has pledged MWK10 million (€4,950) in sponsorship for the 2025 Africa Netball Cup, providing a significant boost to Malawi’s preparations as the host nation for this major continental event. The tournament is scheduled to take place from 8–14 December 2025 at the Griffin Saenda Sports Complex in Lilongwe. Eleven national teams from across Africa are expected to participate, promising a highly competitive championship that showcases the continent’s top netball talent.

The sponsorship from Premier Bet Malawi is aimed at covering logistical and operational costs, ensuring that the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) can organize a well-structured and professional tournament. This support comes at a critical time as the association works to meet international standards and provide a smooth experience for athletes and spectators alike.

Our support for this championship is not just about the event but about developing the game and giving our players and fans a platform to shine on the continental stage,” said Hamza Mgaye, Premier Bet’s Community Manager, during the sponsorship handover.

Hosting the Africa Netball Cup requires significant resources, and this donation will help us ensure that the tournament meets international standards,” NAM President Vitumbiko Gubuduza said. “We are appealing to other corporate entities to emulate Premier Bet’s example and support the event.”

The initiative also aligns with Premier Bet’s strategy of combining entertainment with social responsibility, a growing approach among licensed betting companies in Africa that seeks to create tangible benefits for local communities while promoting professional sports.
