NWGB Conducts Responsible Gambling Awareness Campaign in Moses Kotane

The North West Gambling Board (NWGB), in partnership with the Consumer Affairs Unit, conducted an educational awareness campaign at Maubane Tribal Hall in Moses Kotane Local Municipality.
The campaign promoted responsible gambling, educated community members about consumer rights and responsibilities, and highlighted the risks associated with gambling addiction.
The session was attended by Kgosi ya Bataung, Tshireletso Sefanyetso, local council members, and community residents. It emphasized that gambling should be viewed strictly as entertainment, not as a financial solution or a means of making a living.

To assist people affected by gambling-related issues, the NWGB highlighted its self-exclusion programmes and specialized support services. Community members seeking assistance or wishing to report illegal gambling activities can contact the NWGB or access its free support channels.
