AFCON 2023 kicks off with a Bang! Entertains The World in its first Weekend.

On January 13, 2024, the biggest and the most anticipated African cup of nations kicked off. The opening ceremony was a colorful masterpiece that celebrated African heritage and football passion.

The much-anticipated Africa Cup of Nations 2023 kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Ebimpé Alassane Ouattara, offering an unforgettable experience for football enthusiasts and music lovers alike.

On Saturday, the world was treated to a vibrant celebration of African diversity and culture. Featuring a wide range of traditional Ivorian dances and music. Donning colorful clothes and accessories, the performers stunned the audience with diverse local dances, moves, beats, and musical instruments.

The stage came alive with the voices of Dadju and Tayc, representing Congolese and Cameroonian origins, respectively. The duo sang in both French and English under African rhythms.

The audience was then treated to enchanting performances by the Ivorian coupé-décalé band from Abidjan. The band featured young African artists that made the charts throughout the continent, as well as in France.

In addition, renowned artists, including the Franco-Ivorian group Magic System, Nigerian sensation Yemi Alade, and Egyptian rapper Mohamed Ramadan, sang the infectious rhythm of the AFCON 2023 anthem, “Akwaba.”

The anthem, created specifically for the occasion, aims to celebrate the warm hospitality of the people of Cote d’Ivoire.

The enchanting musical moments were an epic celebration of African culture, uniting the continent through a shared passion for sports and artistic creativity.

To kick off the camping, the results of the first weekend were nothing short of entertaining. Below are the results:
