Choplife Gaming has successfully accelerated its expansion in the African iGaming sector, solidifying its position through the official launch of betPawa in Liberia and Mali under its local operating licenses.
The launch in Mali followed regulatory approval and licensing from PMU Mali, providing Malian customers with access to a mobile-first platform tailored specifically for African users.
The platform features lightweight technology, simplified navigation, and localized payment integrations, which are essential for markets where mobile money is a primary financial tool.
The rollout includes many different services that aim to improve the gaming experience and encourage responsible playing. These services encompass sports betting on football, basketball, and tennis, instant and online casino games, fast deposits and withdrawals via mobile money, and responsible gaming tools supported by local customer support.
In Liberia, the brand went live in January 2026, strengthening its position as a growing African-owned player in the digital entertainment sector. This expansion is part of a broader vision led by Choplife Gaming Chairman Oluwatosin ‘Mr. Eazi’ Ajibade to build a pan-African platform that contributes to the growth of regulated digital economies.
The brand has now expanded its presence to 17 regulated markets across Africa, including Mali, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Benin, Sierra Leone, and Gambia.
Highlighting the importance of this expansion, Olu Odeneye, Chief Operations Officer of Choplife Gaming, stated:
“We are excited to bring betPawa to Mali and grateful to PMU Mali for their engagement and confidence throughout the licensing process.”
