Hollywoodbets and Hollywood Foundation Pledge R8 Million for “Back to School Campaign”
Hollywood foundation launched the back to school campaign this year with a pledge of R8 million. The foundation is in partnership with Hollywood bets South Africa.
The campaign supports parents and empowers learners from diverse communities across South Africa at the beginning of the new school year by providing them with essential school supplies.
This year’s campaign launch featured collaborations with influential personalities and organizations that share the Hollywood Foundation’s vision.
To aid in school selection, Hollywood Foundation partnered with Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassadors, non-profit organizations, sports clubs; and renowned personalities, including musicians Khuli Chana; Big Zulu & Sjava; Mr Thela; Rugby player Makazole Mampimpi, and mainstream and community radio stations. In an effort to expand the campaign’s impact, Hollywoodbets’ 97 retail branches nationwide will actively contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of learners, particularly in areas of their operation. The schools received uniforms, stationery, school shoes, and other essential items for the 2024 academic year.
Speaking about the importance of this campaign, Vuyisile Ngobese, Hollywood Foundation PR Officer, said, “Education is the key to unlocking the full potential of our youth, and the ‘Back to School’ campaign, set to commence its handovers from the 22 January 2024, is a testament to our commitment to empowering the next generation.
