ICE Barcelona registration goes live as global industry prepares for most important business event of the year

Registration has gone live at https://www.icegaming.com providing industry professionals with access to the 2027 edition of ICE Barcelona ’27 – global gaming’s most important business event of the year.

Taking place across 18-20 January at Fira Barcelona Gran Via ICE brings the international land-based, digital, lottery, sports betting, casino, esports and payments sectors all together under one roof. The show has cemented a reputation for being the place where products and technology are launched to the world and consequently where the World of Gaming goes to do business.

Looking ahead to January’s showpiece, WorldGaming managing director Stuart Hunter said: “ICE Barcelona is the only event where the entire gaming value chain meets and where the industry’ maps-out its direction of travel.

The ‘Welcome to the PlayVolution’ creative which is driving the international marketing campaign in support of ICE Barcelona ’27 is a celebration of how the industry is embracing the technology revolution in order to connect with players and to underpin the industry’s far-reaching social responsibility undertakings.

“ICE Barcelona is at the intersection of gaming and technology” confirmed Hunter. “Following extensive consultation with industry stakeholders we will be opening the 17,000 square metre hall 7 which will serve as the industry-wide home for gaming’s technology, data and fintech communities and the focus for conversations and presentations surrounding enterprise technology, AI, payments, compliance, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data, and real-time customer engagement.

“Our aim is for Hall 7 to be recognised as the ‘go to’ meeting place where attendees can learn from their peers, explore the latest technologies and most importantly to see the innovations in action. We are moving beyond traditional panel discussions, adding more live demonstrations, real-world case studies, interactive sessions, and practical discussions delivering solutions that attendees can take back to their businesses.”

A world record 62,988 industry professionals from 162 nations attended the 2026 edition of World Gaming Week. The total, a 5% increase on the 2025 attendance of 59,939 represented the biggest gathering of industry professionals in the history of gaming. The independently audited and verified attendance comprised 51,996 visitors to ICE, (+4% on 2025) and 10,992 for iGB Affiliate (+11%). The figures set new records for both event brands with visitation, which measures the number of visitor days, hitting 120,439 – up 9% year-on-year. World Gaming Week lived up to its name attracting representatives from across the globe stretching from Brazil to Belgium, Nigeria to the Netherlands and Canada to Cyprus. Host nation Spain topped the league table of represented countries with 10,209 nationals participating followed by the United Kingdom (5,999), Malta (3,187), Cyprus (2,628), Ukraine (2,512), Poland (2,247), the United States (1,568), Italy (1,353), Germany (1,165) and Bulgaria (1,076).
