NGB and ECGB Unite to Curb Illegal Gambling and Promote Responsible Play in Nelson Mandela Bay

The National Gambling Board (NGB), in partnership with the Eastern Cape Gambling Board (ECGB), has launched a week-long series of community outreach programmes across the Nelson Mandela Bay region aimed at tackling illegal and online gambling while encouraging responsible gambling practices.

Running from Monday, 13 October to Friday, 17 October 2025, the initiative will see NGB and ECGB officials engage directly with communities, students, and local leaders through interactive sessions and educational materials. All sessions will run from 10h00 to 14h00, offering participants a platform to learn how to identify and report illegal gambling and to better understand the principles of responsible gambling.
