NLGRB and URA Align Efforts on the National Central Electronic Monitoring System

As part of its broader digital transformation efforts, the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) conducted a technical engagement with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Gaming Unit to support the phased implementation of the National Central Electronic Monitoring System (NCEMS). The engagement formed part of ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening regulatory tools for effective oversight of the gaming industry.
The meeting brought together officers from NLGRB’s Regulatory Compliance and IT teams alongside URA officials to assess the operational readiness of the monitoring system. Discussions focused on how the NCEMS will function in a live environment, the roles of each institution in its utilization, and how coordinated institutional collaboration can enhance system performance and regulatory outcomes.
