Uganda Gaming Regulator Cracks Down on Illegal Gaming Operations, Seizes 157 Gaming Machines in Western Uganda

The Uganda National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) has intensified its enforcement efforts by conducting an ad-hoc operation in parts of Western Uganda.

The operation, aimed at curbing illegal gaming activities, resulted in the confiscation of over 157 unauthorized gaming machines.

The enforcement team’s recent initiative reflects the NLGRB’s commitment to fostering a fair and transparent gaming sector.

According to the Board, effective enforcement is critical to maintaining compliance with gaming regulations and ensuring a level playing field for all operators. “We cannot talk about a fair and transparent gaming sector without emphasizing enforcement,” stated a spokesperson from the NLGRB.

The NLGRB assures the public that additional enforcement initiatives are on the horizon to sustain this momentum and uphold the gaming sector’s regulatory framework.
