Nigeria-headquartered GamblePause named Clarion Gaming Safer Gambling Charity Partner
GamblePause, the independent social impact organisation dedicated to reducing gambling-related harm across the continent of Africa has been named Clarion Gaming Safer Gambling Charity partner for 2026. The partnership covers the January editions of ICE Barcelona and iGB Affiliate Barcelona as well as July’s iGB L!VE London. In its fourth year, the initiative is a cornerstone of Clarion Gaming’s responsible gambling agenda.
Announcing the partnership Clarion Gaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter said: “I am delighted to welcome GamblePause as our Safer Gambling Charity Partner for 2026. GamblePause has evolved from a grassroots awareness initiative into a powerful voice on safer gambling in Africa. Despite being a very young organisation, its’ output has been phenomenal. In the last 12-months it has reached 5,500+ individuals through community awareness sessions, workshops, and digital campaigns, it has conducted over 3,000 one-to-one support interactions using virtual psychological counselling and it has also delivered large-scale gambling awareness programmes at the University of Lagos reaching 11,000 students in April 2025 and a further 12,500 in December 2025.”
He added: “As a result of being named our Safer Gambling Charity Partner GamblePause will become an integral part of the industry conversations at ICE Barcelona, iGB Affiliate Barcelona, and iGB L!VE London, in the process gaining a global platform to promote its program and drive awareness of its safer gambling initiatives across the entire gaming ecosystem. In terms of specifics, GamblePause will receive high-profile branding across our live events including coverage in official show guides, on event apps and websites, visibility in the ICE Show Daily, and access to VIP networking functions.
