Statement On The Closure OF Bet9ja Shops in Enugu State

A regulatory dispute between KC Gaming Networks Limited (Bet9ja) and the Enugu State Government has escalated following enforcement actions within Enugu State. Amid ongoing legal proceedings, the company has issued an official statement outlining its position on the matter.
In the press release, KC Gaming stated that it is not indebted to the Enugu State Government through the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission or any other agency for any legitimate fees, levies, taxes, or Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) remittances. The company said it has operated in the state for over 12 years and has consistently met all required financial and regulatory obligations.
KC Gaming further disclosed that it has engaged the state government, including the Gaming and Lotto Commission and the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, in efforts to resolve the dispute without success. The company added that it will not remit levies on revenues it says were not generated within the state and will continue to pursue the matter before the High Court of Enugu State.
