Wazaa Bet goes live with QTech Games in Sierra Leone; reports early Q1 success story

19 February 2026 – Wazaa Bet, a powerhouse operator in Sierra Leone, has reported strong spikes in turnover, player engagement, and retention metrics, following its decision to go live with the QTech Games aggregation platform in Q4 2025.

As a result of these initiatives, Wazaa Bet has reported a 58% increase in total turnover in December, followed by a further 49% growth in January. In addition, its active player base has grown by 30% as of February.

This leading operator has seen strong growth across its broad igaming estate, spearheaded by the successful execution of Aviator Rain, which has consistently delivered high player engagement and activity. Other notable contributing providers include Spribe, Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, and TaDa Gaming, all of which became available to Wazaa Bet customers via the QTech integration.

Other top-performance titles during this period of concerted growth have been Aviator, Blackjack X Emerald, Fist Of Destruction, Ze Zeus, and Chicken Dash, with Aviator continuing to lead performance.

Wazaa Bet’s primary market is Sierra Leone, where these localized engagement strategies and strong game performance have directly contributed to sustained growth.

Sierra Leone customers are increasingly demanding betting experiences that are captivating and easily intelligible, and personalised to their preferred betting patterns. Consequently, QTech Games and Wazaa Bet have combined their complementary assets to deliver a coherent and effortless user experience and optimised journey, alongside a flexible spread of content that is both locally authentic and appealing to the next generation of players. This partnership will also explore new cross-sell opportunities between sportsbook and casino, with this summer’s football World Cup upcoming fast, always a key acquisition and retention driver for global sportsbooks, but above all in Africa where soccer is king.

Agatha Wanjugu, QTech Games’ Sales Manager for the region, said:It’s a privilege to have been selected by a brand as revered as Wazaa Bet, and to be entrusted with scaling their operations across Sierra Leone to establish a significant online igaming presence ahead of this summer’s World Cup. We place a premium on understanding markets at a hyper-local level to define a pathway to success in this nuanced betting ecosystem.

At QTech Games, we’ve always believed that sustainable growth —especially in emerging markets like Africa — comes from combining great content and deploying it in targeted packages, based on our product specialists knowing what works well in any given market. Being local is always the key. In high-growth regions like Sierra Leone, content diversity matters enormously because player demand evolves very quickly — and it’s also shaped by local realities such as mobile usage, data costs, device types, and payment preferences.

As Wazaa Bet has found to their benefit, QTech provides a single technical and commercial gateway to the broadest portfolio of content for emerging markets, and we’re both thrilled by these early results in Q1.”

The Wazaa Bet Team added: “After researching the possibility of integrating with multiple casino aggregators for our launch in Sierra Leone and the DRC, we found QTech Games to be the most complete solution in terms of provider variety, front-end features, and fast support.

We have no hesitation in continuing our partnership with QTech for our upcoming operations – and, to prove the point, we plan to launch soon in the DRC. We would like to thank Agatha, the technical team, and the promotions team for their continuous follow-up and the support they provided, which contributed to the success of this partnership.”

QTech’s success is premised on the strength of its underlying proprietary platform and a willingness to work in genuine collaboration with all our partners, no matter their size, to achieve mutual goals. What works in one market won’t by extension work in another, even if it’s a neighbouring one. That is also the reason why QTech has a local team in Africa. It’s a key part of QTech’s strategy to stay close to its clients and understand the local needs. The only way to do that is to have feet on the ground, and to live and breathe the targeted market.

QTech Games is constantly improving its platform’s functionalities to optimise performance. And by gathering, observing, and refining raw data, we can identify and capitalise on emerging trends. Being an aggregator, we have a true advantage in data since we see data from both operators and suppliers across several markets. Effective collaboration also involves understanding the relationships within the data and developing strategic plans to action and take advantage of those insights. Last year, we invested a lot in data and BI – and we will continue doing so in order to be even more data-driven than we are today. This development will benefit all our suppliers and operators with invaluable insights in the near future.
