LONASE Declares Dakar as Host of 2026 African Lottery Association’s General Assembly

Senegal’s national lottery operator, LONASE, recently announced that Dakar will host the African Lottery Association (ALA) General Assembly from April 21 to 27, 2026.

The week-long event, organized by LONASE, will serve as a premier continental forum for strategic and technical exchanges among industry leaders. The assembly aims to bring together a diverse group of experts, decision-makers, lottery executives, and technology providers to discuss the future of the sector.

The primary focus will be on innovation, strategic dialogue, and technological solutions designed to foster more efficient and sustainable lottery operations across Africa.  As a platform for dialogue, the meeting will facilitate knowledge sharing and promote cooperation among members of the ALA, which represents lottery operators and stakeholders from across the continent. 

By hosting this General Assembly, LONASE positions Dakar at the center of critical discussions on the development and regulation of the African lottery industry. With an emphasis on sustainability, delegates in Dakar will work toward enhancing the impact of lotteries as economic drivers and contributors to social good.
