ALGA and GlobalLab Announce Landmark Partnership to Standardise African Gaming Industry

The African Lotteries & Gaming Association (ALGA) has announced a strategic partnership with GlobalLab to implement and advance the GLA Standards framework, with the aim of harmonizing the gaming and lottery industry across the African continent.

The partnership focuses on the adoption of the GLA Standards, a proprietary technical standard developed by GlobalLab. These standards provide certification, testing, and compliance methodologies specifically tailored to address the unique operational, regulatory, and technological realities of African jurisdictions.

By introducing this Africa-focused model, the organizations aim to offer a credible alternative that ensures testing processes remain relevant to local market needs and regulatory environments. The initiative is expected to create significant opportunities across multiple areas. It seeks to promote greater consistency in regulatory oversight, ensuring that rules are applied uniformly and effectively. Additionally, it will improve product integrity and enhance consumer protection, fostering trust and safety for users.
