The success of this partnership and its beneficial effects on the growth and worldwide competitiveness of Saudi tourism and African football are shared commitments between the two sides.

There is a lot of promise for the African Football League (“AFL”), the most competitive club football league on the African continent with the greatest prize money.

The 54 nations represented by the Member Associations of CAF will benefit from the construction of football infrastructure and youth academies for both boys and girls owing to the success of the AFL.

The Partnership between CAF and Visit Saudi holds enormous potential for the African Football League (“AFL”) which has the highest prize money and is the most competitive club football competition on the African Continent.

The success of the AFL will contribute to the building of Youth academies for boys and girls and football infrastructure in the 54 countries that are represented by CAF’s Member Associations.

The eight teams that will play in the inaugural African Football League (or “AFL”) are Atlético Petróleos de Luanda (Angola), Wydad AC (Morocco), Enyimba FC (Nigeria), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), Al Ahly SC (Egypt), Simba SC (Tanzania), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), and Wydad AC (Morocco).

The AFL is a CAF competition that FIFA helped to develop. Making sure that African Club football is of a caliber that is both commercially and globally competitive is one of the AFL’s primary goals.

Among the AFL’s other goals is to support the establishment of football infrastructure and youth academies for both boys and girls in the 54 nations that are represented by CAF’s Member Associations.
