In a dramatic and thrilling final, Park FC defended their Super Cup title with a 7-6 victory over Mengo City, despite a spirited late comeback from the reigning champions. The match was a showcase of skill and resilience, starting with an impressive early lead from Park FC. Joshua Aziku opened the scoring in the 4th minute and doubled the advantage a minute later after a goalkeeping error by Paulo Baguma. Park extended their lead to 3-0 in the 6th minute through a tap-in from captain Shafiq Mulangira, following a dangerous cross from Aziku, and Michael Abura made it 4-0 after reacting swiftly to a spilled free-kick by Mengo’s goalkeeper.

Mengo City fought back, pulling a goal back through Abdulkarim Tebera in the 15th minute. Aziku completed a first-half hat-trick, sending Park into the break with a commanding 5-1 lead.

The second half saw Mengo City rally with determination. Tebera scored from the penalty spot, and substitute John Musasizi narrowed the gap to 5-3 in the 33rd minute. However, Park FC responded with two quick goals from Muluya, who struck twice in succession, extending the lead to 7-3 with just five minutes remaining. Mengo’s captain, Male Anthony, ignited a late surge with a fine goal, followed by goalkeeper Stuart Kafuluma’s remarkable cameo—scoring from open play and converting a penalty—reducing the margin to just one goal.

Despite Mengo City’s spirited effort, Park FC held firm, clinching a 7-6 victory and successfully defending their Super Cup title from the double-winning Mengo City.

Betpawa Uganda’s continued investment underscores their belief that Futsal is more than a sport—it is a platform for professional growth, talent development, and community engagement. As the sport’s popularity soars, Betpawa remains committed to nurturing the next generation of Futsal stars and elevating the standards of the game nationwide.
