Lanre Gbajabiamila 🇳🇬 is a seasoned leader in Nigeria’s gaming industry, with extensive experience both in Nigeria and the USA.

He began his career with Derivion/Metavante Corporation in 1997 and held senior consulting roles with Fortune 500 companies before returning to Nigeria in 2004 as Senior IT Manager of Software Quality Assurance for the National Sports Lottery (NSL).

At NSL, Lanre pioneered the Essnet Lottery Operating System (ELOS), managing over 5 million lottery transactions weekly—a pivotal achievement in Nigeria’s gaming sector. Lanre Gbajabiamila

Lanre’s passion for gaming led him to become the CEO of the Lagos State Lotteries Board (LSLB), where he helped shape Nigeria’s regulatory landscape for lotteries, sports betting, and online gaming.

Under his leadership, the sector expanded, generating significant revenue and supporting Lagos State’s economic growth. In 2017, he was appointed Director-General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, where he has been instrumental in developing Nigeria’s vibrant sports betting sector through inclusive, responsible regulatory approaches.

An influential voice in the global gaming community, Lanre speaks at major industry events such as ICE Totally Gaming and Sports Betting West Africa, advocating for investment in Africa’s gaming market.

Lanre Gbajabiamila also serves as a non-executive director for Ginger Hotel Limited and Makklink Limited, while remaining an active member of the Lagos Ikoyi Club and the Institute of Directors. His contributions continue to shape the future of Nigeria’s gaming industry, promoting both growth and responsible practices.
