In her new role as CEO, Emily will continue and expand SiGMA Group’s core business—delivering high-quality iGaming events, media, and intelligence.

Emily stated while expressing her excitement following the appointment.

Emily Micallef has a wealth of experience in the iGaming sector, having worked in the industry for over fifteen years now. She started her career as a sales and operations manager with M. Demajo Group, where she gained an in-depth understanding of customer acquisition and retention. After that, she moved on to SIT – Special Interest Travel, where she worked as a Sales and Operations Manager. It is at this point that Emily started her career at SiGMA Group as an Events Director.

Then, in August 2019, Emily joined SiGMA Group as Operations Director, leading the organization’s global events. During her tenure, she was among the team that saw the successful launch of several high-profile iGaming events globally, including giant meetings such as AIBC Dubai and Manila.

It’s worth noting that Emily also played a pivotal role in the decision to move SiGMA Group’s flagship event to Malta from its previous home in Asia. This resulted in SiGMA Group becoming one of the largest iGaming events in Europe, attracting more than 15,000 delegates in 2019 and an anticipated 25,000 delegates at the upcoming SiGMA show in Malta.

Emily Micallef’s promotion is a significant milestone for SiGMA Group. Her deep understanding of the iGaming industry, coupled with her extensive experience, will undoubtedly help the company expand its reach and grow its business globally.
