The Gambling Board of Namibia has issued Public Notice No. 001 of 2026, dated 23 January 2026, calling on all Casino, Gambling House, Bar, and Shebeen Gambling Licence holders to immediately regularise the payment of outstanding gambling levies and fees. The notice is issued in terms of sections 62 and 61 of the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018), as well as regulations 25 and 29 of the Gambling and Gambling Activities Regulations, with the aim of ensuring that all statutory payments are made accurately and on time.
All affected licence holders are required to settle any outstanding levies and fees calculated either from the date of issuance of their licence or from the date on which their last payment was made. Payments must be made from the date of publication of the notice up to 30 April 2026, after which non-compliance will result in immediate disciplinary action by the Gambling Board of Namibia.
