Ivory Coast reserved online sports to Lonaci as Betclic held 55.2% of demand

Betclic took more than half of September demand while Lonaci Online lost share in a growth month.
Ivory Coast built its legal online sports route around the Loterie Nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (Lonaci). National demand rose 21.7% from August, yet the concessionaire’s own brand eased to 6% of demand as Betclic widened an already wide lead. The piece maps that legal frame, then the September brand split Blask Index recorded.

What the state built around Lonaci
Ivory Coast splits gambling into a concession and authorizations.
Lonaci holds the concession: the state lottery runs the games it was assigned, online and in retail. The ARJH register lists Lonaci alone as concessionnaire.
Concessionnairе is a company that holds an exclusive government contract (concession) to run a specific gambling activity in a country, instead of getting an open-market licence like other operators.
Other legal brands sit in a separate authorized list, Betclic, 1xBet, Betmomo, Melbet, etc., plus casinos and slot halls.
In other words, Lonaci is a state regulator, other iGaming products are private companies.
Betclic held September; Lonaci Online lost share
National demand in September 2026 rose 21.7% from August, and Betclic took most of that step. Its share moved from 52.1% to 55.2%, so the leader widened its lead in the same month the market grew. 1xBet stayed in second on 11.8%, essentially unchanged MoM.
Lonaci Online’s BAP eased from 8% to 6% while the national line climbed, so its slice of a larger market shrank.
The top five still account for almost nine tenths of measured attention, and Betclic alone held more than half of it.

On the brand chart, Betclic’s curve sits above every authorized partner through the year and ticks up into September as national demand recovers. Lonaci Online runs on a lower band and ends September below its August level.

According to Blask data, 52 brands registered demand in Ivory Coast in September, but five brands account for nearly nine tenths of that demand. Betclic’s September share was more than nine times Lonaci Online’s, which is the gap between the leading authorized partner and the concessionaire’s own front.
Search rose in September
Ivory Coast’s Blask Index wobbled through mid-2026 before September reversed the line. June jumped 29% from May. July fell back from that peak, August stayed almost flat, and September climbed again.

September 2026 finished 12.6% above September 2025 on the national series. On this twelve-month chart the peak sits in January and February 2026; September is the strongest month since that early-year band and the clearest rebound after the mid-year slide. The step landed in the same week as the Côte d’Ivoire–Ghana AFCON qualifier on 24 September.
The national rise did not lift Lonaci Online’s BAP share. Demand grew, and Betclic captured most of the September print.
Bottom line
Ivory Coast keeps online sports on the Lonaci concession while ARJH lists a wider set of legal partner and gaming brands. September compressed that tension into one month: national demand up 21.7% from August and 12.6% year on year, Betclic’s share up to 55.2%, Lonaci Online down to 6% from 8%.
