Namibia Gambling Board Announces Consultation Workshop on Bookmaker and Totalizator Licenses
The Gambling Board of Namibia has issued a public notice inviting applicants for Bookmaker and Totalizator licences, as well as key industry stakeholders, to participate in an upcoming Industry Consultation Workshop on the licensing of Bookmakers and Totalizators.
Issued on 21 September 2026 by Acting Chief Executive Officer Johannes Erastus, the notice outlines the framework for upcoming regulatory discussions regarding bookmaker and totalizator licensing.
The workshop will focus on the licensing requirements and administrative processes established under the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018). It is specifically targeted at individuals and entities who have submitted applications for Bookmaker and Totalizator licences, along with key regulatory stakeholders.

During the session, regulatory stakeholders will provide guidance on compliance and operational requirements related to gambling activities in Namibia. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and offer feedback on licensing requirements, the application review process, and technical compliance for wagering and betting platforms.
The event programme and necessary documentation will be published on the official GBN website (https://www.gbn.com.na) and will also be available for physical collection at the GBN offices located at No. 8 Simeon Shixungileni Street, Windhoek.
