NLGRB Intensifies Fight Against Illegal Gaming Machines in Seven Districts Across Uganda

The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong regulatory presence, exemplified by the confiscation of 77 unlicensed gaming machines across seven districts in Uganda.

In a recent enforcement update, the NLGRB emphasized that regulation is an ongoing, district-by-district process designed to ensure that the protections afforded to players in the capital are extended to citizens in every corner of the country.

This commitment to a national standard was demonstrated this week through targeted enforcement operations in Lyantonde, Sheema, Isingiro, Ibanda, Mbarara, Rukungiri, and Ntungamo, resulting in the confiscation of 77 unlicensed gaming machines. By expanding its enforcement efforts into these districts, the NLGRB is showing its dedication to consistent oversight regardless of location.
