Former Compliance Manager appointed to role after shaping Alberta and Philippines market entry strategy
7th October 2026 – Playson, the accomplished digital entertainment supplier, has promoted Cosmin Tanase to Head of Compliance following his successful tenure in the interim role.
Cosmin assumed responsibility for Playson’s compliance function on an interim basis, taking on the role at an important time for the company’s operations, following its recent Philippines market approval and ongoing licensing application in Alberta. With more than 20 years of legal experience, including almost four years in the iGaming industry, Cosmin has helped to shape the compliance functions of a number of leading providers.
Since joining Playson in 2024, Cosmin has played a central part in maintaining business continuity across multiple regulated markets while overseeing a broad range of critical compliance activities. Cosmin has delivered against key milestones, including overseeing certifications, game approvals, and regulatory submissions. He has also supported new market entries, such as Alberta and the Philippines, strengthened monitoring processes and driven improvements across a number of key operational areas.
Cosmin’s appointment to the permanent Head of Compliance role reflects his strong ownership and cross-functional leadership skills. As Playson continues to expand across regulated markets, strong compliance remains essential to supporting that growth, and Cosmin will play a key role in ensuring the business continues to grow safely and sustainably.
