Rwanda Development Board Suspends Forzza Operations Over Regulatory Violations

The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced the immediate suspension of Baron Sports Gaming Ltd, popularly known as Forzza, following repeated violations for operating outside the scope of its approved licence.

In a public notice issued on 30 July 2026, the RDB, which serves as the national regulator for lottery and gambling activities, stated that the company’s operations have been halted with immediate effect.

The regulatory action comes after findings revealed that Baron Sports Gaming Ltd was repeatedly offering casino-style games that were outside the scope of its approved licence. This practice is a direct violation of the laws governing gaming activities in Rwanda. As a result of this suspension, the company is required to cease all operations across all physical outlets, digital platforms and through its agents immediately and to remove all associated advertising and promotional materials.

The RDB has advised the general public not to participate in any games or activities offered by Forzza until further notice. The regulator warned that any continued operation by the company during this suspension period is considered unlawful and will lead to further enforcement action.

This move serves as a stern reminder to all licensed lottery and gambling operators in the country. The RDB emphasized that all entities must operate strictly within the conditions of their respective licences. The board noted that any unlicensed or unauthorised activity is illegal and may result in severe regulatory sanctions, including the permanent revocation of operating licences.
