Women in Gaming Africa Announces Collaboration with iGaming Afrika at the iGaming Afrika Summit in Nairobi on 4th & 5th May, featuring an iGB Executive Lunch, Mentorship & Leadership Workshop, and Women’s Cocktail & Networking Evening.

Women in Gaming Africa is proud to announce its collaboration with iGaming Afrika at the upcoming iGaming Afrika Summit, driven by Founders Lois Bright and Jeremiah Maangi, and built upon a long-standing relationship and shared commitment to advancing meaningful conversations, connections, and opportunities across Africa’s gaming industry.

On this collaboration, Jeremiah Maangi, Events Director of the iGA Summit, said: “Working alongside Lois and the WiGA community has been an easy decision from day one. Their commitment to empowering women across Africa is both authentic and impactful, and we’re proud to bring this collaboration to life at the iGaming Afrika Summit.”

With both parties having worked alongside one another over time in support of the continent’s growing gaming ecosystem, this collaboration was a natural fit. The iGaming Afrika Summit provides the ideal platform to bring that relationship to life in a way that creates real value for attendees, while continuing to champion inclusion, leadership, and industry development across the East African region and the wider African continent.

On this partnership, WiGA Founder, Lois Bright says: “Jeremiah has been a trusted friend, ally, and advocate for women in gaming since WiGA’s inception in 2023. So when he approached me about collaborating on the iGaming Afrika Summit, it felt like a natural and important next step in extending WiGA’s community initiatives to even more women across the continent. We were especially thrilled when Rosie suggested bringing iGB Exec to Nairobi, adding even greater depth to what this partnership can deliver.”

As part of this collaboration, WiGA will host a series of dedicated engagements across the summit programme, impacting women across the industry.

On Day One of the summit, Monday 4th May, WiGA will co-host an iGB Executive Lunch, signalling a second collaboration with Clarion Gaming on the continent and iGB Exec’s first time in East Africa — a strong nod to the growing interest in the region. This lunch will create an opportunity for executive-level leaders to connect in person, strengthen relationships, and engage in meaningful conversation in a more intimate setting, open to friends, members, and allies of WiGA.

Rosie Brewster, Membership Director of iGB Exec, says: “After our massively successful maiden voyage in South Africa during SiGMA Africa in March, we decided to continue our growth with this event in Kenya. Our hope is to grow our presence and membership further across Africa and globally, and this lunch will help to facilitate that.”

On Day Two, Tuesday 5th May, WiGA will present a Mentorship & Leadership Workshop in collaboration with Brenda Lindiwe Mabaso from The Mentorship Academy, as part of our ongoing commitment to facilitating free access to support more women across the continent, with a specific focus on East African women.

The Mentorship Academy x WiGA Mentorship Programme has been running for over 12 months and already has its largest uptake from Kenyan women. This workshop will be free to summit attendees and is designed to offer practical guidance, professional development, and insight for women looking to grow their careers and leadership presence within the industry.

Additionally, on the evening of 5th May, WiGA will host a women’s-only cocktail and networking event, offering a relaxed and welcoming space for women attending the summit. This gathering is intended to encourage genuine connection, shared experiences, and the continued strengthening of the female network shaping the future of gaming in Africa.

By combining WiGA’s mission of empowering and elevating women in gaming with iGaming Afrika’s continued support and partnership, the iGaming Afrika Summit will offer attendees moments that are not only engaging, but purposeful and impactful.

Women in Gaming Africa looks forward to this collaborative event series taking place in May 2026 in Nairobi. For any enquiries, support, or sponsorship pledges, please contact WiGA directly here (link email address).
