📣Women in Gaming Africa Announces First-Ever International Event!📣

Women in Gaming Africa (WiG Africa) is proud to announce its first-ever international event taking place in Lisbon this September in partnership with SBC for the ‘Greatest Show in Gaming’ 2nd Edition Summit in Portugal.

This landmark moment will mark the first time the African-focused initiative steps beyond the continent’s borders, bringing its powerful community, mission, and energy to a global stage.

The WiG Africa x SBC Networking Drinks, Lisbon Edition, will take place on Day One of SBC Summit Lisbon, immediately following the conclusion of the Africa Stage at the conference. Held within the main event venue, this vibrant networking session will welcome WiG members, allies, friends, and all those eager to connect with and learn more about Africa’s dynamic gaming ecosystem.

“This is more than just a networking event,” says Lois Bright, Founder of WiG Africa. “It’s a world first. For SBC to champion us in Lisbon and carve out space for Africa within a major global conference is not only symbolic, it’s a powerful act of inclusion. It tells the world that Africa is here, and Africa matters.”

This event signifies a major step forward in WiG Africa’s mission to elevate African women and allies in the gaming space, offering a fresh perspective and fostering meaningful global connections.
