SportPesa Launches Tujiamini in Partnership with DBA Africa
Sportpesa, a leading online gaming firm has partnered with DBA Africa to unleash the Tujiamini initiative, an initiative aiming to identify, explore and empower the sporting ecosystem with the belief of turning dreams into reality.
The initiative seeks to empower the youth and budding talent in the creative economy by availing the dire needed resources to spur them to the next level. It will take place countrywide for the whole year and will be renewed every year.
Speaking during the launch of the event at the Shamba Events resort in Lower Kabete, Nairobi, SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri revealed plans to have the price money increased.With time the money will double as the company continues getting back on its own two feet in efforts to develop sports in Kenya. He said,
“We started this year with 30 million but when we go to next year, I do not see us having less than 60 million in terms of the price money for the people who get into the platform.“

Awarding
That initiative will award and reward applicants in four respective categories.
Gold Award: Will offer support up to 500,000 shillings.
The Silver Award: Five awardees get up to 100,000 shillings.
The Bronze Award: Will have 80 awardees each receiving 10,000 shillings.
Cheza Dimba Award: This will award a grassroots football team with up to 250,000 shillings annually for the next three years.
Application Process
Interested individuals can visit the Tujiamini website and apply.
The objective of Tujiamini Initiative is to uplift talents from those grassroots levels. It is a relaunch of what existed in the past and was paused when the company started facing regulatory challenges.
People participating in this initiative will be uploading the videos themselves on a website that is to be launched. This means football clubs can use the platform to identify and recruit talented players.
