Born and raised in Ghana, Beatrice’s early interests in social justice and community empowerment paved the way for her later academic pursuits and professional commitments. She has emerged as a notable voice advocating for innovative and sustainable solutions to the multifaceted security challenges facing Africa and the global community. 

She holds a dual certificate in Leadership in International Security from the Geneva Center for Security Policy and a Master of Advanced Studies in International & European Security from the University of Geneva. Additionally, she attained a Master of Arts in Gender, Peace & Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, further solidifying her expertise in her field.

Beatrice currently serves as the Public Relations Manager for the Gaming Commission of Ghana, where she has made significant contributions since October 2015. In this role, she acts as the spokesperson for the Commission, developing and maintaining communications strategies that promote transparency and engagement with stakeholders.

Previously, Beatrice held the position of Editor at eTV Ghana from 2011 to 2015, where she not only hosted and produced television programs but also supervised the station’s social media efforts. Before her role at eTV, Beatrice’s career began at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, where she contributed to the production of midday and primetime news bulletins, honing her skills in journalism and media communications. She also served as a columnist for the FootPrint Newspaper, writing insightful articles on gender issues and advocating for women’s rights.

Recognized for her achievements and influence in the field, Beatrice is a proud alumnus of the Thomson Reuters Foundation and has been honored with the Press Trust of India Award. Her commitment to youth, gender equality, and security is not only a professional pursuit but a personal passion, driving her to create positive change in her community and beyond.

With an enduring belief in the potential of young people and the importance of gender perspectives in peace and security processes, Beatrice Baiden continues to be a transformative force in Ghana and an inspiring figure on the international stage.
