Nearly 414 Billion FCFA Paid Out to Bettors as LONACI Reports Strong 2025 Performance

According to figures presented by the Loterie Nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI), the operator redistributed 413.9 billion FCFA to bettors during the 2025 financial year across its gaming activities, including PMU betting.

The amount represents a 17% increase compared with the previous year. Over the same period, the national lottery operator also transferred 21 billion FCFA to the State. Presenting the company’s annual results, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, Director General of LONACI, said redistribution remains central to the institution’s mandate.

Our redistribution policy, true to our mission, has been strengthened. Winnings paid to players reached 413.9 billion FCFA, up 17%. Commissions to dealers, up 10%, reflect our desire to build a solid and sustainable network,” he said.

Beyond payouts to players, LONACI anticipates a positive net result of 12.6 billion FCFA. The Director General also confirmed that the royalty paid to the State increased from 15 billion to 21 billion FCFA, representing a 40% increase.

The General Management aims to position LONACI as a regional leader in the gaming sector, with a focus on community service. As part of this strategy, Mr. Coulibaly announced a significant increase in share capital, which will rise from 400 million to 5 billion FCFA.

The scale of national payouts is also reflected in individual outcomes. On February 3, 2026, a bettor received 36.4 million FCFA after winning the PMU Quinté+. The cheque was presented at LONACI Studios in Biétry, Marcory, following the bettor’s correct prediction of the winning combination in the Nationale 1 (N1) race, held on January 25 in support of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race 2026.
