Three Moroccan casino resorts are shortlisted for the World Travel Awards’ (WTA) Morocco’s Leading Casino Resort 2026 title.
World Travel Awards listed, Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, Es Saadi Marrakech Resort and Mövenpick Hotel & Casino Malabata Tanger for the award. The event recognises casino resorts that combine gaming, hospitality, entertainment and tourism offerings. The World Travel Awards’ official website published the nominations.
The shortlist highlights Morocco’s regulated casino sector. With leading properties from Marrakech, El Jadida and Tangier competing for the 2026 title. Mazagan enters the race as the dominant force in the category. It has won the Morocco’s Leading Casino Resort title every year since 2018. Its the Defending champion and seeking a ninth consecutive victory in the category. Located in El Jadida, the resort features a casino, hotel, conference facilities, golf course and beachfront attractions.
Es Saadi Marrakech Resort, home to the Casino de Marrakech, is among the nominees. The property remains one of Morocco’s longest-standing gaming venues. It has helped establish Marrakech as a destination for gaming, entertainment and luxury hospitality.
Completing the shortlist is Mövenpick Hotel & Casino Malabata Tanger. Situated on Tangier’s waterfront overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, the property is one of northern Morocco’s best-known gaming and hospitality destinations.

Announcement of the winning Casino will be at the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony in Zanzibar, Tanzania, on August 28 2026.
Beyond the national category, Mazagan has also been nominated for Africa’s Leading Casino Resort 2026, where it will compete against casino resorts from Egypt and South Africa. The nomination places the Moroccan resort among the properties vying for continental recognition at this year’s awards.
