Sun International Partners with Government to Deliver Homes for Mandela Day

Sun International, in partnership with the Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation, and Tourism (DEDECT), the Department of Human Settlements, and a network of dedicated partners, has delivered new homes to two families in the communities surrounding Sun City Resort.

This initiative, part of Sun International’s Festival of Giving, was timed to coincide with Mandela Day to create a lasting, meaningful impact where it is needed most.

These homes are designed to promote long-term resilience and self-sufficiency. Each property includes environmentally sustainable features such as solar geysers to manage energy use, rainwater harvesting systems for sustainable water access, and household food gardens to help reduce living costs and provide nutrition.

Brett Hoppe, General Manager of Sun City Resort, noted: “Mandela Day reminds us that even small acts of service can have a lasting impact.
