National Lottery Authority Donates L$ 16,750 Reinforcing Its Commitment to Inclusive Education
The National Lottery Authority (NLA) of Liberia, through its Management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department, and Social Welfare Unit, has renewed its commitment to inclusive education by providing L$16,750 in financial assistance to Mr. Ujay Shanennon, a student at the Monrovia School for the Deaf in the Old Road Community.
Presented on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the financial support is intended to assist Mr. Shanennon’s educational pursuits and help meet his school-related needs as he continues his studies. Mr. Watson Yeanue, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, presented the donation on behalf of NLA Management as part of the authority’s continuing social welfare outreach.
Addressing the importance of the initiative, Mr. Yeanue emphasized that the NLA regards education as a critical instrument for creating opportunities, strengthening individual capacity, and advancing societal inclusion.
“As an institution with a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of our communities, the National Lottery Authority believes that educational opportunity should be accessible to all. Through our CSR and Social Welfare programs, we will continue to identify areas where our support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, particularly those who face additional challenges in pursuing their education,” stated Mr. Watson Yeanue.

He added that this assistance reflects the NLA’s dedication to ensuring that persons with disabilities are not excluded from opportunities to develop their talents, acquire knowledge, and contribute positively to society.
The intervention at the Monrovia School for the Deaf aligns with the NLA’s broader CSR and Social Welfare framework. Over time, these programs have extended assistance to educational institutions, persons with disabilities, vulnerable individuals, and community-based organizations across Liberia.
