Owen will represent SunBet as a brand ambassador as per the exclusive contract. He will collaborate with SunBet on a variety of projects and efforts to market the company’s name throughout South Africa.
Owen has played for both Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and English Premier League teams Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

In addition to winning the 2001 Ballon d’Or, the striker scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for his country.

The collaboration comes after Sun International extended its multi-channel sportsbook agreement with Kambi Group earlier this year.
Sun International will continue to receive services and technology from Kambi related to online and retail sports betting.
Since November 2017, the two companies have collaborated on both channels in the South African market.
