Gambling Authority of Botswana Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Uniform Donations to Chobe Students

The Gambling Authority of Botswana, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, recently donated brand-new uniforms to students from the Chobe District community.
Over the past decade, the Authority has remained dedicated to its mission of ensuring integrity within the industry, guided by the principles of “mindful spins” and “fair play.” This commitment extends beyond the gaming, as the organization works to foster a culture of responsibility among both players and operators.
True to its theme of Community Care, the Authority chose to mark its 10th anniversary by giving a fair chance to the less fortunate. In a significant social responsibility project, the Authority collaborated with the Chobe District community to sew new uniforms for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
The initiative included an official handover event, during which the uniforms were given to district leaders. The primary goal of this contribution is to keep students warm and in school, ensuring that financial hardship does not act as a barrier to their education.

As the Gambling Authority celebrates this “Decade of Fair Play,” the handover of school uniforms serves as a testament to their broader impact on Botswana’s society. By balancing industry regulation with community support, the Authority continues to demonstrate its dedication to both the integrity of the industry and the well-being of the nation.
The Gambling Authority said, “We are truly elated to have served Botswana with our services and the Responsible Gambling movement for an entire decade!”
