ISJ Holds Walk to Conclude Responsible Gaming Week

The Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ) held a “Together for Responsible Gaming” walk at Nova Marginal de Luanda on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

As part of its 12th anniversary celebrations, ISJ officially marked the successful conclusion of Responsible Gaming Week 2026. The week-long campaign combined institutional milestones with public awareness and player-protection initiatives.

Held under the official theme “ISJ – 12 Years Strengthening Supervision and Promoting Responsible Gaming,” the closing initiative highlighted more than a decade of regulatory oversight and encouraged healthy activities, social interaction, and collective commitment across the gaming sector.

The event brought together key government figures and industry leaders, including Dr. José Vieira Nuno Leiria, Secretary of State for Tax Affairs, Dr. Nerethz Tati, Director General of ISJ, and members of the ISJ Board of Directors.

The walk demonstrated broad, multi-stakeholder support, with active participation from all licensed gaming operators, the National Association for the Fight Against Drugs (ANLD), the Provincial Government of Luanda, the Municipal Administration of Ingombotas, and the National Police.

Throughout Responsible Gaming Week, activities focused on educating the public about the risks of gambling and reinforcing the strict prohibition against gambling by anyone under the age of 18. A central message of the campaign was that gambling should be treated strictly as entertainment, not as a source of income or a solution to financial hardship.

The closing walk served as a public reminder that safeguarding players requires continuous effort, guided by the campaign’s central message: “Together for Responsible Gaming, because responsibility is for everyone.”
