ISJ Strengthens Regional enforcement on Illegal Gambling Across Huíla and Benguela
The Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ) recently conducted a series of strategic working meetings with municipal administrations across Angola’s Huíla and Benguela provinces to align regional oversight and strengthen enforcement against illicit gaming operations.
Led by Abel Carlos Buzi Nduli, Head of the Provincial Service of the Southern Region, the delegation focused on enhancing institutional coordination to ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards.
The primary aim of these inter-institutional sessions was to combat illegal gambling and curtail the advertising of unauthorized games across the region. Discussions sought to establish coordinated action between the ISJ and municipal leadership to enforce existing gaming laws.

During the tour, the delegation engaged directly with local municipal administrators in both Huíla and Benguela provinces. In Huíla, they held meetings with Municipal Administrators Eva Lombe, Palanca, Rita Miranda, Humpata, and Lizender André ,Lubango. In Benguela, consultations took place with Municipal Administrators João Tomás António, Navegantes, and Eurico Bongue Manuel, Baía Farta.
The ISJ explicitly reiterated that operating gaming activities without a valid license constitutes a crime. In conclusion, the Institute called on all regional stakeholders to strictly adhere to legislation in order to foster a legal, regulated, and responsible gaming environment throughout the southern region.
