They beat Egypt 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-14), which was a tremendous achievement for them. Kenya is now certainly in possession of the 10th championship following this historic victory that ends an 8-year wait.

With the victory, they have qualified to represent the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship and automatically qualifies for Paris Olympics 2024.

Winning the African Championship means a lot more than regaining the supremacy in the continent or winning a trophy and medals. It means going beyond in every single way. I’m very proud of working with such a fantastic group of players and of helping take Kenya to the top of the podium, but it doesn’t end here.

Setter Emmaculate Misoki and outside hitter Mercy Moim were two other Kenyan athletes who made the tournament’s Dream Team. Libero Nada Walid and middle blocker Aya Khalid from Egypt were in the starting lineup, while opposite Estelle Adiana and middle blocker Stéphanie Fotso from third-placed Cameroon and outside hitter Valentine Munezero from fourth-placed Rwanda.

In the bronze medal match, the home nation Cameroon defeated Rwanda 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-15) to earn a sixth consecutive trip to the podium. Malkia Strikers Continental Cup
