As a part of their Skills Development Program, WSB has recently teamed up with longtime brand ambassador, EFC, and MMA Champion Luke Michael, in an effort to launch an elegant Performance Institute in Cape Town, South Africa.
Michael was born and raised in Cape Town. At the age of 14, he began training in martial arts, beginning with traditional karate. He had a strong desire to compete in MMA professionally. He received recognition for his efforts when he triumphed in seven MMA matches, including the Cape Town Fight League Amateur MMA Title.
He accepted an EFC contract when he was 19 years old, and after nine fights on the professional level, he will compete in the EFC World Middleweight Championship in March 2022.
Currently, he is nursing an ACL injury which he received in 2022 while preparing for his first title defense. He underwent a mandatory surgery which forced him out of the competition and he is hopefully to return into action in December.

It has been a tough experience, but I am eternally grateful to World Sports Betting for sticking by my side through it all, even though I haven’t been able to compete. This time has given me the chance to focus on this amazing business opportunity with WSB, so all things really do happen for a reason. The Institute will have a complete CrossFit area and a wide range of commercial gym options. The program includes a fully matted area that will provide comprehensive MMA and boxing training as well as a sports rehabilitation facility where participants can ensure they are recovered in time for the next session.
We are excited to extend our association with Luke and to create this Performance Institute where like-minded people can get professional training and support from an amazing team. This is an exciting time for both parties and fans can look forward to some exciting initiatives.
